Be Respectful, Be Excellent, Be Accepting, Be a Leader

This is a W Day.

ALL GRADES: Did You Run “The Stride”? Although we lost the Championship by only 25 participants, we had more people run this year than last year so Friday is “Stride Pride” day.  All runners get free ice cream during lunch on Friday!  Wear your Stride T-Shirt and show your PRIDE in physical fitness.

Student – Do you have a love for cooking?  If you do, there is now a club to satisfy your hobby.  Join the cooking club.  The club meets Wednesdays after school in room 106 starting today.  We will study and make foods from around the world.  This will be a place to taste food from different cultures.

Attention Brain Bowlers.  Our meeting this week is canceled so that we can attend the Pilates class after school.  Give your brain a break and come work your body!  Mr. Yamnitz and Mrs. Lloyd will see you again at Brain Bowl next week, November 17 in room 209.

Spelling Club will meet in room 94 on Thursdays after school until 4:15.  Bring a snack.  New club members welcome until Thanksgiving break.

WELLNESS WEEK #3 –

Stress/Handling the Holidays – Nov. 8th – 12th

·         Hope you are enjoying sweats day today.

·         Work out our stress and have fun at the same time.  Zumba is exercise cleverly disguised as hip-hop, Latin, African and Reggaeton dance.  Learn some new moves and get your groove on Wednesday after school in the cafeteria.  On Thursday we’ll de-stress with Pilates.  All students and staff are welcome to participate.  Be REAL!

·         Sometimes gift purchasing can be stressful.  Some kid-friendly stress-free gift ideas include book marks, coupons to help out around the house and how to make a pine cone bird seed feeder.
