This is a B Day.

8th Grade: AHS is hosting Freshman Showcase Night tonight at 7:00 PM.

8th grade Girls’ Volleyball starts Tuesday, March 1st in the gym @ 2:50 p.m.  Please be on time, dressed out and ready to practice until 4:00 p.m.  The full schedule for the season is now posted in the gym and will be given out to you at this first practice.  If you have not already paid your athletic fee please do so in the main office or bring it to the first practice.

ALL GRADES: Attention aquarium club members: ALL members including both Team Dorie and Team Nemo will be meeting Monday after school at 2:45 PM in Mr. Yamnitz’s room 81 and then go to Neptune’s fish store to get our last round of fish for all the tanks in the building.  I can’t wait to see you all there and be sure you let me know if your parents can drive.

Reminder:  When you enter the building, you need to turn your cell phone off and store it in your locker.  It is important that it is off and not on vibrate during the school day.  So…at this time…if you have your cell phone with you, please turn it off and take it to your locker.

Thank you everyone who participated in the  library on-line book reviews!   Many interesting, well written book reviews were posted.  This week, we had six students post a great book review, and they win a candy bar!  These students may stop by the library and pick out a candy bar!

This week was the end of the “Win a Candy Bar” contest, but we would still love to see some good book suggestions, reviews  and comments posted.

ALL GRADES: Cooking Club is cancelled for Wednesday, February 23. We will meet again next Wednesday, March 2 after school. Students should bring their own snacks on March 2nd because it is a recipe planning session.

Please remember to start bringing in your Pennies for Patients change boxes on Tuesday to your classroom.  You will be getting your large classroom boxes today to start filling up.  We will be collecting all of the money and getting class room totals on Wednesday and Friday of next week. Remember our goal for the change collections is only $2.00 per student – we want to raise $1400 by Friday, February 25th.

Euclid readers, this Friday is the last day of our “Win a Candy Bar” contest!  You can win a candy bar (or two) by logging onto the library web site and writing a quick book review.  Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Mast will choose the best book reviews, and notify the winners through their g mail account.  You are checking your gmail sometimes, aren’t you?

Remember our goal for the change collections is only $2.00 per student – we want to raise $1400 by Friday, February 25th.

ALL GRADES: This week we will be focusing on Being Real in the Classroom. Teachers, please read the bulleted items on the poster you have in your room entitled “Be Real in the Classroom.”  As you see students demonstrating these behaviors during the day, toss a piece of candy to them.  You will be receiving candy in a bag in your mailboxes for this purpose.  Thanks for reinforcing positive behaviors in the classroom.

ALL GRADES: BE REAL AT EUCLID. For the next three weeks we are going to be focusing on BE REAL at Euclid.  Week number 1 begins today focusing on positive behavior in the cafeteria and outside.
