Hello everyone! Do you want to volunteer to help people?  Then come to the Orchard Park Healthcare Center! We will be volunteering on December 21st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The NJHS project for December was making Holiday cards for a nursing home.  The next step is to visit the nursing home and play games with the residents.  8th graders, go to the middle tables during lunch to sign up and get an info sheet. 6 and 7th graders, go to Ms. Broyles' room for the sign up and info sheet.

Attention TSA Students: Due to the snow day yesterday, we will have TSA in the Tech Lab after school today, December 16th.  Please be ready with your choices of 5 to 8 events.  We will give you the medical paperwork and information you need for the conference.  If you will not be able to make it after school today, please see Mr. Biddulph in Room 102.

Please bring in new or gently used socks to donate to the Salvation Army downtown Denver. Euclid Middle School is happy to announce that all students that have received a Be REAL in the month of November will be receiving a coupon book for 5 free frostys from Wendy's. The counselors and the PBiS committee will be handing these out on Friday during lunch. Check the list posted outside the counseling office to see if you are one of the students that will be recognized. Also, please don't forget to move your Be REAL locker tags back to the outside of your locker. 

 

Good morning Euclid students, starting on December 14th at your lunch time, your student council will be selling suckers at the student store in the cafeteria. The Sales will end on the 18th of December. For those that don't know what this is, we are selling a wide variety of suckers that are shaped like lips for just $1.00. A few of our options are mountain berry, grape, root beer float, raspberry lemonade, strawberry kiwi, and an abundance of more suckers! Hope to see you there!

 

Can you imagine what it feels like to have frozen feet because you are homeless and you don't have something as simple as socks. You can help! 6th Graders – Join us for the Falcon Feather Celebration in December.  To be invited all you have to do is earn a Falcon Feather. Turn in a Falcon Feather work sheet to your teacher on Friday November 20 or December 4.


8th Grade:

8th Grade Boys: Basketball will start on Tuesday, December 8 at 6:50 AM!  Yes it's early but it's as close as we can get to Midnight Madness!


All Grades:

We want you to "Be REAL" about suicide prevention, so today our focus is on Respecting the physical, social, and emotional well-being of yourself and others. Growing up is not easy. You face many tough decisions and difficult life experiences that at times seem overwhelming. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death for students in middle and high school and it can be prevented if adults and friends are aware of the warning signs and know what to do. If you can't get to an adult, please remember to use our Safe2Tell hotline.


Reminder:  Food, candy, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the Library at any time.  Respect and love your library!  Also, if a student checks out a Chromebook from the Library, it MUST be returned the same day.  Students cannot check them out overnight.

We are keeping it REAL about suicide prevention this week. Today, we are focusing on Accepting that everyone goes through ups and downs in life and that we all need some extra support to get through the "downs". Remember to stop by the information booth today at lunch for more information and helpful resources. Remember to wear yellow on Friday to support Yellow Ribbon Week! We will have a special prize at lunches on Friday for those who wear yellow! 

 

Reminder:  Food, candy, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the Library at any time.  Respect and love your library!  Also, if a student checks out a Chromebook from the Library, it MUST be returned the same day.  Students cannot check them out overnight.

We are keeping it REAL about suicide prevention this week. Today, we are focusing on being Excellent and learning how to ACT when a friend is struggling.

 

Acknowledge: that a friend or classmate has  problems and that the symptoms are serious.

Care: let the friend know you are there for them, and want to help.

Tell:  a trusted adult about their concerns.

 

Don't forget to stop by the information booth today to learn about the ACT message and to get more information on suicide prevention. For more information and resources visit the booth at lunch

Coed Basketball for 6th graders will meet starting today and 12/2, 12/8 & 12/9 from 3:00-4:10 pm in the gym. Come ready to participate and have fun!

 

All Grades:

You might have noticed the yellow ribbons and signs around our school. This week is "Yellow Ribbon Week" which means Suicide Prevention week. Each day this week, we will be highlighting different resources to help raise awareness and hope for those who may be struggling. Our focus this entire week will be on Having Hope and Getting HELP.

 

Reminder:  Food, candy, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the Library at any time.  Respect and love your library!
