Attention all Euclid spelling fanatics! Did you know that PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS is a lung disease caused by breathing in particles of siliceous volcanic dust? This is the longest word in any English dictionary? However, it was coined by Everett Smith, the President of The National Puzzlers' League, in 1935 purely for the purpose of inventing a new "longest word". If you love spelling, want to become a better speller or are looking for a place to study for the school spelling bee, spelling club is for you! Join us for our first meeting Wednesday, October 2nd from 2:45-4:15 in Mrs. Fast's room 82. We will meet most Wednesdays after school until the bee on December 2nd. Hope to see you there!
Come support your 8th grade track team as they crush Goddard Middle School!! The track meet is TODAY on our own track and it starts right after school!! If you see an 8th grader walking around with a team jersey on, wish them luck!! See you there!!
Congratulations to all the students who earned the right to go to the BMX Bike show on October 9 at 9:30 AM. 201 students will be attending the show. Tickets will be distributed the morning of the show.
If you have not taken your picture this year, be sure to do that today, Tuesday, September 24! You do not need to purchase pictures to have your picture taken. You will need your picture for your ID card and yearbook. If you want re-takes, be sure to bring your picture packet with you and give it to the photographers.
The Euclid Cycling Club is open to all students. We learn lots about bikes and riding, and of course, go for bike rides! Our next meeting is today, Tuesday, September 24 after school. We'll meet at Student Services, then head outside to ride. Bring your bike and helmet!
The Student Council will have their first meeting this Thursday in room 109 at 7:00 AM. Doughnuts and juice will be provided.
