Be Respectful, Be Excellent, Be Accepting, Be a Leader

This is a W Day.

ALL GRADES: Congratulations to 8th grader Alicia Sather for being the winner of the 2012 Sertoma “What Freedom Means to Me Essay Contest.”  Alicia will receive a US Savings Bond, have her name displayed on our Freedom Essay plaque in the hall, and be honored at a luncheon in February.  Thanks to all of the eighth grade students who entered and gave our school a great showing in the contest.

Annual Falcon Feather Celebration on Wednesday, December 14 at 1:30 – 2:43 PM.  We will meet in the Gym first then the cafeteria.  Those who have earned feathers this semester will receive invitations.  Your 7th period teacher has a list of invitees.

Hey Brain Bowlers!  Come see Mrs. Lloyd if you think you know the answer to this question.  Be sure to look at all the clues! He refused to salute the cap of the imperial governor Gessler and was subsequently required to perform a dangerous stunt with his bow. Who was this Swiss hero?  Brain Bowl is meeting today in Mrs. Lloyd’s room, 103.  Come enjoy some popcorn and challenging questions with us!

Hey Euclid students – Do you want to help out your school?  From Monday, December 12 to Friday, December 16 Euclid student council students will be selling suckers everyday at lunch for $1!  The sucker flavors include Mountain Berry, Strawberries n’ Cream, Black Cherry, Raspberry Lemonade, Watermelon, Strawberry Kiwi, Tangerine and Green Apple.  All come in sweet and sour!  Help your school while enjoying a delicious treat.  A great gift for the holidays.

Attention members of the Technology Student Association – we will have a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, December 13 after school in the Tech Lab for all students wishing to go to the Conference in February at the DTC Marriott Hotel.  Be ready to list which events you are in and who your teammates are for each event.  If you have questions, please talk to Mr. Grimes or Mr. Biddulph.

Attention Aquarium Club members, we will meet at 2:45 in Mr. Yamnitz’s Room 81 today to clean fish tanks.  I will see everyone there!

Reminder:  When you enter the building, you need to turn your cell phone off and store it in your locker.  It is important that it is off and not on vibrate during the school day.  So…at this time…if you have your cell phone with you, please turn it off and take it to your locker.
