Monday, April 18

Be Respectful, Be Excellent, Be Accepting, Be a Leader

This is a W Day.

7th Grade: 7th grade students interested in an advanced language arts class for 8th grade should plan to audition for the Language Arts Seminar class on Tuesday, April 26.  If you are interested in auditioning, please ask your language arts teacher for the registration form.  Registration forms should be turned in to Student Services and are due April 20.  Questions?  Please check with your language arts teacher.

ALL GRADES: This week, Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22, NJHS is holding a drive to send non-perishable foods and hygiene products to a local food bank called The King’s Pantry.  The collection boxes say Liberia Drive on them, but they are really for The King’s Pantry drive.  Bring in your cans and boxes of non-perishable food and hygiene products.  The core with the most products in each grade level will win a prize.

Attention NJHS members, new and veteran!  This Thursday night at 6:30 we will welcome our new members into the Society.  Please be at EMS at 6:15 p.m.  Check with a board member, or Mrs. Sutterer or Mrs. Lloyd if you have questions or are unable to attend.

National Junior Honor Society officer applications for next school year are due FRIDAY, APRIL 22.  Turn in the completed application and a letter of recommendation from a teacher to Mrs. Sutterer (teacher mail box or classroom #91) by 3:00p.m.  Winners will be announced at the May 6 NJHS morning meeting.

Reminder:  When you enter the building, you need to turn your cell phone off and store it in your locker.  It is important that it is off and not on vibrate during the school day.  So…at this time…if you have your cell phone with you, please turn it off and take it to your locker.

Words of Wisdom

Have you ever worked towards a goal in sports? Music? Academics?  If so, you know how fun and rewarding it can be.  Did you know that working on the Euclid Falcon Feathers can help you achieve these goals? They can help you learn to be more successful in whatever it is you desire to achieve.  So regardless which feather you are working on, get started and keep striving to earn them.  The next turn in date is this Friday April 22.
