Please come to this Thursday's meeting to sign up for the tournament if you didn't attend last week's. If you sign up to play in the tournament, you must attend all meeting days. If you don't participate in the tournament, you can still attend the club and see who will reign supreme!
Attention braniacs, geeks, nerds, and geniuses! Euclid Brain Bowl has begun! This fun academic competition combines academic content knowledge in a variety of subjects, teamwork skills, and leadership qualities. Brain Bowl practices will be held every Monday in Mrs. McWilliams and Mr. Tuke's rooms (down in the Venture Core hallway) and will run after school until 5:10pm. Activity buses are available for student transportation.
The annual LPS Chess Tournament will take place on Saturday, December 7th at Newton Middle School from 8:00 am - 2:30 p.m. The cost is $15. Pick up a registration form in Student Services and turn in to Mrs. Grenawalt in room 1114. Hurry! Registration ends on Friday, November 22, right before Thanksgiving break.
Don't know what to do with all that spatial reasoning you use as a gamer? Keep telling people about places they haven't heard of without them asking? Find yourself studying maps or reading the news just for the fun of it? Have a competitive spirit or enjoy trivia? Wish you could be an explorer like the ones who work for National Geographic? Come to Geography Club starting tomorrow, November 19th. We will meet on Tuesdays in Mrs. Neufeld's room (0292) from 4:00-5:10. We will 1-up each other by answering tough questions on geography, history, and science. We will prepare for the Euclid Geography Bee that will be coming up in January, and gear up to send our Euclid winner on to the Colorado State Geo Bee!
