Attention 8th graders attending Arapahoe High School.  If you are interested in auditioning for Honors Classes at Arapahoe, please come by the counseling department to get a packet of information about the dates and process.  You will need to get the information soon, as the first audition is in February!

Hey Students! Have you ever wanted to write a book? Well, now you can thanks to Author's Club! You can write any kind of book you want! It could be a graphic novel, novel, or even a comic book! We will be meeting every Thursday from 2:45 – 4:15 PM in the Falcon Perch in the school library. See Ms. Darnell for more information.

 

Attention 6th and 7th graders:  Do you have outstanding scholarship, good citizenship, character, and leadership?  You may be eligible to join Euclid's National Junior Honor Society, or NJHS.  This is a program for students who excel in these areas.  Eligible students will receive an invitation to apply this week. If you are eligible and want to join, follow the directions on your invitation.  Applications are due February 10 at 3:00 PM.  Be on time because no late applications will be accepted.  See Mrs. Grenawalt in 104 if you have questions.

 

Dear Brainbowlers, the competition is this Saturday, January 31 at Heritage High School beginning at 7:45 AM. Please let Ethan Perry, J.J. Plummer, or Mr. Yamnitz if you will be there or not by tomorrow BEFORE 12:00.  Hope to see you on Saturday.

This Friday only, we will be recognizing all of the students that received a Be REAL in December by allowing those students to wear hats.  Every student that turned in a Be REAL coupon will have their name posted on the bulletin board outside the counseling office. If your name is on the board, please come to the cafeteria Friday morning before school starts to receive a stamp on your hand. If you do not get a stamp you cannot wear your hat. Any staff member in the building can ask you to remove your hat if you are causing a disruption with it.

Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in dance! The Music Department will be hosting the Hannah Kahn Dance Company at Euclid for a dance outreach program on Wednesday, January 28. 

 

All 7th grade & 8th grade students will be attending an assembly during their elective time that day. After the assembly we will be offering a 40 minute workshop for those students who are interested in a more intensive study of the basic elements of dance through various techniques and improvisational movement. 

 

Workshops will be limited to 60 students, split into two groups, per grade.  Qualification for workshops will be based on desire and teacher recommendation.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. McWilliams in room 16 to pick up a workshop application form.  Forms are due back by Tuesday, January 13. 

 

This promises to be an exciting, rewarding opportunity for students to explore the world of dance in an atmosphere of great fun!  Come join us!

National Junior Honor Society will meet this Friday, January 9 at 7:00 AM in the double classroom.  Breakfast will be served.  We will celebrate the achievements of the Colfax Community project and begin two new projects.

 

This Friday, January 9th, we will have a Bronco Spirit Day for staff and students. Please wear your blue and orange Bronco gear to support them as they take on Manning's former team the Indianapolis Colts.
